Pastitsio

Pastitsio, much like moussaka, is one of the most popular and beloved Greek dishes, that also requires a lot of time and effort to make. By including Pastitsio to its delicious range of ready-to-eat dishes, Paliria made it easier for everyone to enjoy it at any time. The individual packaging can be safely placed in the oven, ensuring that no moment of delight is lost! Paliria’s recipe combines penne, with lightly spiced delicious minced meat, and creamy rich béchamel. The recipe also calls for extra virgin olive oil and grated Kefalotyri cheese on top, for this delicious crunchy crust. Pastitsio, everyone’s favorite dish, no longer has to be Sunday’s dish, but can be served on our table at any time, as often as we want, thanks to Paliria!

Ingredients

36.6 % béchamel (milk, water, wheat flour (contains gluten), soya oil, hard cheese, eggs, salt, sugar, white pepper, nutmeg), 31.2 % paste penne boiled [durum wheat semolina (contains gluten), water], 31.2% minced meat sauce (minced beef meat, peeled tomatoes, 3,8% extra virgin olive oil, tomato paste, onions, salt, sugar, black pepper, pimento, cinnamon), hard cheese.

Instructions

The product should be stored in the refrigerator and is ready for heating.

It can be heated either in a microwave oven or a regular oven.

Remove the outer packaging. Pierce the film in 2 spots with a fork. A) In a microwave oven: Heat in the microwave oven at 600W for 2.5 – 3 minutes. Remove the film and serve. B) In a regular oven: Heat in a regular oven with the air setting at 180 °C for 10-12 minutes. Remove the film and serve.

After opening, keep it in the refrigerator and consume within 24 hours.
